Tins and cans of different origin and content but all with identical expiring date (April 30.) are spread across the floor of the exhibition space. In many countries, May Day (May 1st) is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labor Day, which celebrates the social and economic achievements of the Labor movement (but which actually has much older, pagan roots). The term is also used internationally as an emergency code word in voice procedure radio communications. It actually derives from the French venez m’aider (Come help me).
